Life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, family challenges, relationship stress, or simply trying to balance the many demands of life, you don’t have to do it alone.

Taryn Bentley, MAEd, LPCC, is known for her warm, encouraging presence and her ability to help people feel at ease from the very first session. Clients often describe her as approachable, empathetic, and motivating—with a sense of humor that reminds them that even during difficult seasons, there is hope and a path forward.

Born and raised in Chicago, Taryn earned her Bachelor’s degree from Hampton University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Malone University. Through her years of clinical experience, she has developed a passion for helping individuals and families build resilience, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and clarity.

Taryn enjoys working with both men and women, teens, families, and professionals who are striving to create healthier balance in their personal and professional lives. She especially enjoys helping high-achievers who often find themselves carrying the weight of work, family responsibilities, and the expectations they place on themselves.

Taryn believes therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who genuinely cares—not a clinical checklist. She creates a welcoming, judgment-free environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Her goal is to help people uncover their strengths, develop practical tools for growth, and leave each session feeling more hopeful than when they arrived.

Using evidence-based approaches such as Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems Therapy, and Multicultural Counseling, Taryn tailors treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals.

No matter where you are in your journey, Taryn’s compassionate guidance, authenticity, and belief in her clients’ ability to grow help create a space where healing feels possible—and where you can begin moving forward with confidence.

Taryn Bentley

Rather than walking in your shoes, I need to learn how to listen to the story you tell about what it's like in your shoes and believe you even when it doesn't match my experiences."

Brené Brown

She is clothed with strength and dignity; She can laugh at the days to come.
